The business was founded by Bruce Rutherford, formerly of Sothebys London. Located in the 'Paris End' of Collins Street for over 20 years, Rutherfords are the two stores to visit in Melbourne for the finest in antique jewellery, silver and fine pearl pieces.

Bruce's daughter Ruth manages the pearl store. Rutherford's professionalism and expertise represent a standard of excellence tested by time. With over fifty years personal experience in fine antiques and precious jewellery, the Rutherford tradition continues.
