A strand of carved rock crystal beads alternating with small ruby beads, to the centre of the necklace is an elongated oval cabochon of rock crystal with an open centre, attached to each side is a stepped, fan shaped gold fitting channel set with calibre cut rubies and grain set with old cut diamonds, the necklace fastening with a rectangular gold ruby set clasp and figure eight catch. The gold tests as 14ct and 18ct.
