Refunds & Returns

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Refunds (if applicable)
Rutherford’s comply with Australian Consumer Law:
We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:
  • has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
  • is unsafe
  • is significantly different from the sample or description
  • doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.

Alternatively, you can choose to keep the item and we will compensate you for any drop in value.
If the problem is not major, we will repair the item within a reasonable time.
If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.

 

Return and Refund Procedures

  • You notify Rutherford that your intention is to return the product and this is discussed and agreed with Rutherford.
  • The product is returned to one of our stores or by post within 7 days of receiving the goods.
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Return postage, packing, insurance and handling is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Rutherford will refund the original purchase price (not for any original or return shipping or insurance)
  • We will provide a refund within 14 business days of the date of return, by the same method as the original payment, or by bank transfer, solely at Rutherford's discretion.
  • Return postage, packing and handling is the responsibility of the customer.
Please keep your proof of purchase,  e.g. your receipt and shipping documents.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@rutherford.com.au.

Exchanges (if applicable)

Rutherford will provide you with an exchange within 14 business days of purchase. Products must be returned in the same condition and packaging as originally sent.

 Exchange Procedure
  • You notify Rutherford that your intention is to exchange the product.
  • The product is returned  to one of our stores or by post within 7 days of purchase.
  • Proof of purchase is provided
  • Return postage, packing, handling and insurance is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Rutherford’s will issue a credit for the purchase price (not for any original or return shipping or insurance) which must be used within 6 months from the date of original sale. There is no refund.

Shipping
To return your product, you should mail your product to: 182 Collins St, Melbourne, VIC, 3000, Australia.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping and insurance costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
